This policy describes how JONATHAN HILL TH INC, doing business as Yewhill, handles information when you use yewhill.com. The company is located at 177 Butler Rd, Kittanning, PA 16201, United States. United States law applies to this site and to this policy, including Pennsylvania law where it governs our company.

The site is served over SSL. The browser connection to yewhill.com is encrypted. SSL does not make a shop “unhackable.” It means order and account forms are not sent as plain text.

What we collect

When you place an order or write to us, we collect the information needed to fill that request: name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number, order contents, and payment confirmation. We do not store full card numbers on our own computers. Card and PayPal checkout run through the payment company that processes the order.

If you create an account, we also keep the email and password hash for that account, plus the orders tied to it.

If you only browse, the shop platform may record a technical log: IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. That is ordinary hosting data. We do not use it to build an advertising profile.

What we use it for

We use this information to take payment, pack and ship the order through USPS, send the tracking number, answer questions, process returns and exchanges, detect fraud, keep tax and accounting records, and meet legal requests we are required to meet.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not give it to a data broker.

We do not use your information to run ads, and we do not hand it to an ad network, unless you have agreed to that use in writing or by a clear opt-in on this site. There is no such opt-in on the site today. Until there is, your order and contact details are not used for advertising.

We may send an email about an order you already placed: confirmation, tracking, a delay, or a reply to a message you sent. That is order mail, not an ad.

Who else sees it

The store runs on a hosted shop platform. That platform stores the catalog, carts, and orders. The payment processor sees what it needs to charge or refund you. USPS sees the name, address, and phone number required to deliver the parcel. Our email and phone provider see messages you send to info@yewhill.com or left at +1 (724) 526-3780.

Those parties get only what their job requires. They are not given a list to resell.

We disclose information if a court, regulator, or payment-network rule requires it, or if we must do so to stop fraud or abuse on an order.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax, accounting, and dispute rules in the United States require. Account emails stay until you ask us to close the account. Support threads stay long enough to finish the request.

Your requests

You can ask what information we hold on your orders, ask us to correct an address or email, or ask us to delete an account. Email info@yewhill.com. We may need enough detail to confirm it is your order. We will not delete records we are required to keep under U.S. law.

If you live in a U.S. state that gives extra privacy rights, send the same email. We will handle the request under the law that applies.

Children

This shop sells bags to adults. We do not collect information from children on purpose. If a parent believes a child submitted an order or a message, write to us and we will delete what we can.
